Dataset for food price in stalls, shops and food court in Malaysia
Recently I discovered that the Malaysian data portal have many price related datasets. Among them is food price. Below is the search query.
The dataset is in excel, not very well formatted. There is a header, some empty column, etc. That said, below is a pandas script that process the excel file. Though the number conversion is bad. Need to figure out how to normalize it.
Another concern is the source of data, some price doesn’t always make sense. But then peninsular is group together as a big group. But the price of Roti Canai seems to be in the right range.
That said, I think we got opportunity to experiment with the dataset, though we really need to augment it.
